First words out of Capt. Mike’s mouth about this trip were “Wow, now that was a fun trip!”  The Gulfstar and its light load of passengers saw both a smooth ride out and in. The winds were light and the fishing solid. The night bite rocked with lots of nice sized Mango’s, Red Snapper, Gags and B-liners. At least they could keep more than half of what they caught and got some great elbow bending action. As daytime approached it seemed the fish had grown with an awesome pick of molly-whopper Mango’s all day with several 10+lb Red Grouper, Lane Snapper and a huge deep water Scamp that must of been lost. The spectacular bite also included a few Kingfish, Yellowtail Snapper, Rock Hind, Bluerunner, Triggerfish, Cero and a nice Blackfin Tuna and then a squall line breezing quickly through to add to the fishing excitement!

Happy Fishing,

Mary
