Captain Mitch and Mike report that the ride out to the Grounds was smooth and comfortable for our light load of 10 passengers. On the first stop they immediately began slaying the Mango’s, Porgies and Beeliners with some 2o+LB Gag Groupers mixed in. As the evening turned into morning some Blackfin Tuna and Kingfish joined in the massacre while a very elusive, nice sized Cobia provided much entertainment in the wee hours of the morning. Although the Golden Grounds weren’t on fire this trip, they still managed to produce a 40″ Rusty Belly, Yellowedge Grouper, Red Hind and a bunch of 25lb+ forbidden Red Snapper giving our fishermen some nice elbow bending action. A move into the 60 fathom depths saw a good variety of fish with lots of Squirrelfish, more big Gag and Scamp Grouper as well as an all you can catch Porgyfest! Back at the elbow they crushed even more Tuna, outlawed Gag’s and some mollywhopper Mangrove Snapper. “It was a Great Trip with lots of Action” says our Captains.

Happy Fishing!
