It was a superb day for fishing. With a nip in the air, the Gulfstar departed at six A.M today with an ambitious bunch of fisherman aboard. Our passengers were a mixed bag of families, friends and eager singles as well.

The running time was about 2 hours and we were fishing in depths of 50-75 ft of water.

It didn’t take long for the action to start. Father and son team Bob & Bob had a productive day with “little Bob” bringing in a 75lb nurse shark. What a fight!

And another proud Dad watched with pride as sons Kyler & Kaden hauled in their fine catch at the same time.

An estimated 30 head of grouper (both Reds and Gag included) were part of the total tally as well as an impressive amount of Grey snapper and Porgies.

Miss Betsy was delighted to win the jackpot with a sizable Gag grouper weighing in at fifteen pounds. It ended up being another incredible day aboard the Gulfstar.

“the best kept secret in Tarpon Springs” says Skip who departed the boat with a smile from ear to ear, and a nice bunch of fish in hand.
