Today, our departure time was 11:00 AM. Due to a few “no shows” we  had an “intimate” crowd aboard, it appeared to be a fun day ahead.

And fun it was! I had the pleasure of being on board with Capt. Mitch and this wonderful bunch of people. On the way out, as we passed Anclote island, we had a phenominal display from a family of dolphin. It was a show worthy of Sea world. We were all taking pictures and videos. Very exciting stuff!

The weather was picture perfect as we made our first stop. We were averaging fishing depths of 35 ft of water all day.

And we were on fire, The grunts or “Gray Snapper” were flying in the boat!

I was very busy snapping pictures today because these guys were like professional fisherman!  Even one of our “seasoned” regulars, Dwayne was aboard today and he couldn’t help but bring them in two at a time!

We ended up with numerous throw backs both of the Gag and Red Grouper kind and a ton of grunt. Many Porgies were caught as well as a couple of nice Trigger Fish. “Manny” who was on the stern of the boat, hooked  a nice keeper Red Grouper.

It was a great day of fishing with an awesome group of people. Lots of fish and lots of smiles! click here to see the photos
