Capt James reports that the 1st night of fishing saw a decent pick of Mangrove and Yellowtail Snapper and some nice sized keeper Red Groupers. By 6:30 am they were heading offshore to the Golden Grounds and the troll brought in a nice Wahoo. Although the deep water fishing was slower then usual, our anglers saw a nice bite of Scamps, Porgies, large Vermillon and way too many large and illegal American Reds. The trip back to shallower water saw a steady pick of big Gag and Scamp Grouper, Bar Jacks and whopper B-liners. The night fishing was still on the sluggish side, but along with even more Mango’s and B-liners, 7 nice Black Fin Tuna were also boated.
Bill Webster of Weeki Wachee Fl had the Jackpot Grouper and a 65lb Amberjack
Charlie Carter of Fort Meyers Fl had the Jackpot Snapper and caught the Wahoo while trolling.
