Capt’s Mitch and James report gorgeous weather and calm seas began this very successful Golden Grounds trip. The 2nd night and the ride back home the next day was quite “nautical”  but our very satisfied fishermen had no problem dealing with the angry seas having coolers full of fish to comfort them. The first night was spent fishing through masses of forbidden Amberjack to get to some nice Mangrove and Vermillion Snapper and Red Porgy’s. Daylight brought deeper water and a nice pick of Gray Tile,  some Mutton Snapper, a couple of Kingfish, Scamp, Snowy and a nice size Warsaw Grouper for Doug N. and Doug W. wrangled in a Beautiful Yellow Eye Snapper. The Gulfstar returned to shallower waters for the 2nd evening finding choppier seas but a much more productive bite with steady, elbow bending Mango, B-liner and Porgy action.
