Capts. Mitch and Jerry reported that the trip was awesome but the fishing was alright. They caught red groupers up to 18 lbs, some b-liners, no gag grouper this trip but the weather was perfect and he couldn’t ask for better. The stops were 3-5 fish stops and the gag grouper just flat out did not want to bite for us. Even the short Gags did not bite! Crazy day!!!
After talking to a few customers it sounds like they had an ok time and the crew did a great job but they were a bit unhappy with the slow fishing. The catch total was 32 keeper Red Grouper for a total of 25 anglers… certainly not out worst trip but not up to par for the Gulfstar.
