The weather offshore was pretty nasty for most of the trip this weekend. The wind was a relentless 20 kts from the northeast and the seas were bumpy. It seems that the weather was hanging offshore as it was really nice closer to the beach. The catch was surprisingly good for the weather/sea conditions. The Snapper were really chewing. The jacks and other reef fish also cooperated well. The Grouper bite was not as consistent… some spots gave up some nice ones and others gave us none. Back at the dock the crew cleaned fish for a while and everybody had a smile on their faces so I am gonna call it a successful trip.
