Captain Jay and mates Alicia and Larry report an excellent day of fishing. With a 17 knot Easterly wind, the seas were about 2 to 3 feet, but with a following sea on the way out it made for a nice ride, and the seas calmed down as the day went on. It was an action packed day for their 19 passengers. Wrangling in well over 300 fish throughout the course of the day. The bite started out a tad bit slow, but as the day continued the fish got hungry and the bite turned on. ‘The grunt bite was on fire reports Capt. Jay landing roughly 220 Key West Snapper, and only releasing 10 of them. Alicia and Larry were on the move, hearing FISH ON, every time they turned around. ‘The fish Gods were looking out for us.’ says Larry, as they landed 6 Grass Porgies, a few Sand Perch, and 25 nice keeper Black Sea Bass which is always a crowd favorite aboard the Sundance II. All in all the passengers enjoyed a fun filled day, and were able to spot several Bottle Nose Dolphins splashing and playing in the boat wake on the way back to the dock.

Til next time,
