Cancellation and booking policy for all trips
Booking and Cancellation Policies
Please review the following policies carefully before making your reservation.

- All cancellations or changes to a reservation must be made via email to
[email protected]. - A deposit of at least $300 per passenger will be charged to the card provided
at the time of booking. - Certain limited-availability trips require payment in full when the
reservation is made. Those trips will clearly state that in the trip description
if it is applicable. - The remaining balance for all reservations is due no later than 30 days
before the trip departure. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to
cancel your reservation. - If you request additional time to make your final payment then do not render
your final payment by the agreed upon date, you forfeit any payments made
towards the trip and your reservation will be cancelled. - Each passenger is permitted one cancellation per reservation without
penalty, provided the cancellation is requested at least 30 days before the
trip’s departure date. - Each passenger is permitted one rescheduling request or reservation change
made via email only without penalty, provided the request is made at least
30 days before the trip’s departure date. - Cancellations made 29 days or fewer before departure are subject to a $300
fee per passenger. - Rescheduling requests or reservation changes made 29 days or fewer before
departure are subject to a $300 fee per passenger.
- If you cancel within 7 days of departure, a fee of $500 per passenger will
be deducted from the amount paid or charged to your card on file and the
remaining amount will be refunded to the original payment method. - Any requests to leave your previously paid amounts as a credit on file will
be applied to a digital gift card and sent to your email on file. The gift card is
valid for one year to date. Once you have opted for a credit on file you
cannot request a refund at a later date. - All gift cards are valid for ONE year to date unless specifically requested
via email for two years. Once a gift card is issued a refund cannot be issued. - If the trip sails as scheduled and you choose to cancel or no-show, the
cancellation will be at your expense. No refund or credit will be issued! - Gulfstar Ventures is not responsible for personal belongings left onboard. If
your belongings are left behind and you arrange for the items to be shipped
back to you, you are responsible for paying the cost of shipping supplies,
and postage.
Order Confirmation
If you do not receive an email confirmation after your purchase has been
processed, please contact us at [email protected] to verify
that your order was received and completed. We are not responsible for the
loss of payments or tickets resulting from an assumption that an order was
not placed solely because a confirmation was not received by phone, mail, or
email.
Weather Cancellations
- If Gulfstar Ventures cancels a trip because of weather or mechanical issues,
you may choose either a refund or reschedule your trip. No fees will apply. - Gulfstar Ventures will cancel multiday trips when sustained winds are forecast to exceed:
20 knots (22.8 mph) during the winter; or
25 knots (28.5 mph) during the spring, summer, or fall.
- If weather conditions may affect a trip, Gulfstar management will make the
final decision within 12 hours of the scheduled departure time. - If your travel time to Gulfstar exceeds twelve hours, please call and speak
with a Gulfstar representative on the day of your trip for the latest weather
information. - If the trip is cancelled due to weather you may opt to reschedule your trip for
another available trip however, we cannot guarantee your bunk and rail spot
to be the same as your newly rescheduled trip. - If circumstances beyond Gulfstar’s reasonable control affect a scheduled trip, no
cash refunds will be issued. These circumstances may include, but are certainly not
limited to: - Pandemics or public health emergencies
- Unsafe offshore or inshore weather conditions
- Mechanical breakdowns—because even well-maintained boats occasionally have bad days
- Earthquakes or other natural disasters, wherever they may occur
- Civil unrest, riots, or unlawful occupation
- Hurricanes, tropical storms, or other severe weather events
- Acts of terrorism, war, or attacks against the United States or another
country - Fuel shortages
- Food, water, toilet paper, or other essential-supply shortages
- Health or safety risks
- Unexpected invasions by humans, non-humans, or anything else we never
thought we would need to mention - Personal emergencies—including those urgent family shopping trips that simply cannot wait
- Other unforeseen events beyond Gulfstar’s control, imagination, or ability to
fix with duct tape, bailing wire and hose clamps.
