6/29/22 Gulfstar offshore fishing report

The month of June has given us some really epic fishing and some pretty slow fishing all on the same trips. What I mean kinda goes like this. The red snapper day bite has been either pretty good fishing but a lot of small but still keeper fish or large snapper but only biting on one tide or for only a couple hours of the tide. The night fishing has been “epic” for most nights but also we have had some nights where its been just a struggle. Seriously we have had a few one stop nights where we would catch for up to 7 hours and never have to move, or just make 2 moves the whole night. we had Mutton, big mangrove, Vermillion Lane, and large Yellowtail snapper along with African pompano, jacks, porgies, tuna and lots of other fish. Then on just the last trip we had the night bite was just a pick on the snappers but the gag grouper bite was awesome… almost like the old days awesome.

We are ready to see what July has in store for us and we have some trips with room on them. If the fishing is on par with what June was i think you will have a great time if you get on a trip..
