Rough rough rough….The weather was not on our side. Lots of tossing and turning. But we had some awesome fisherman this go around and truly persevered.IMG_2224

With the elements against him, Captain Jerry found the fish. They were just not cooperating in the beginning.

“the bottom machine was lit up like a Christmas tree”. The depths fished ranged from 160-240 feet.

The bite was slow to begin with, but by night two, the bite began to come to life in a more consistent manner.IMG_2241

The Red Snapper was limited out in no time. Mike went home with a beautiful Mutton Snapper and the infamous “Smitty” wound up with the Amberjack pool, Mike with the largest Snapper and Landis wit the winning Red Grouper which beat out Smitty’s Gag Grouper by a hair! There were also plenty of monster Mangos, nice size Scamp, Blackfin Tuna and porgies.

Rough weather, tough start, but good finish!IMG_2232
