This was a good day. Three hours of running time out to seventy feet of water.

The bite was considered “fair” by Captain Jerry. He commented on how bad the anchor course was. ”it never stayed the same for more than ten minutes at a time”

By the sound of it, you would think the catch would of been a bad one. Not so. With a light crowd of only thirteen, the total was six keeper Gags, nine Red Grouper, A nice Mangrove Snapper, some beautiful Amber Jack and a load of Grunts.

There were many lost fish not to mention the throw backs, including lots of Amberjack.

“Ray” took his first trip with us. A transplant from Michigan, he now resides in New Port Richey and had a blast. He will be back.

“Jim” & son in law “Kirk” were also newbies and had a great time. Especially with the Amberjack. Jim had some tired arms after the fight he had with one of these AJ’s. This was a birthday he will always remember.

Another successful trip today aboard the Gulfstar!
