This was a fantastic trip right out of the gate or dock. The weather was picture perfect and the group that joined us were one great bunch of fisherman.
We had a flock of birthday folks that included Lovett, Capt.Ron, John, Carlos & General Smitty.
Joann was ready with birthday cake in hand…
Fishing was off the hook as well. Captain Mitch worked in about 100 feet of water. Here, our group annihilated the Mangrove Snapper. Carlos commented that he stopped fishing at one point because he had so many.
Along with the killer Mango catch, some Gorgeous Red Snapper were boated as well as some nice size Gag and Red Grouper. 
Plenty of B Liners or vermillion Snapper were included with this awesome haul and Porgies, Scamp and Amberjack filled up the coolers too. A record size Grunt was measured in at 20″ !
Bob hooked in to a Goliath Grouper that gave him a 45 min fight while Carlos reported a 45 min fight as well, with what he thought to be a Cobia that tangled up everyone before it was lost.
And even though Tom had a whopper Red Grouper, it was no match for Don’s Gag that won the jackpot. He also went home with the largest Amberjack pool while Bob took home the loot in largest Mangrove Snapper category.
This was truly a very good trip for all. No shortage of fish, and lots of action for our happy anglers!
