Half day fishing is in the air. Today was the start of many more trips to follow in the upcoming weeks. It was an hour and a half ride out today to get to the desired destination which was in  about thirty feet of water.

The grunt or “Grey Snapper” bite was steady  and kept our fishermen aboard the Gulfstar on their toes. Heidi and Jane were out with us and slayed the snapper. A few Gags (Grouper)were also caught and safely released. And some nice size Sea bass were also in the mix,

Passengers reported a spectacular show from a family of dolphin on the way out and they also followed close for the ride in!

Overall about 250 Gray Snapper were caught. Most everyone had their fish cleaned on the way in,but there were a few dockside pics taken

Also in this photo album are some shots of Solomon working on the new benches for the Gulfstar’s outside seating. This was a week long project and they turned out beautiful!!

To summarize Today’s ½ day trip, I would say it was a nice one reports Captain Mitch. And the new benches were a comfortable bonus!
