Fishing Report 12hr Gag Grouper Trip 12/9/15
FALL FISHING IS FINALLY HERE! We took it on the chin for most of the season with some trips not even catching any or only 1 Gag Grouper but, it seems the dry spell is over. Each week the numbers have been getting better and better and now finally fishing is more like what Gulfstar Fishing expects for their customers. What we couldn’t predict and yet hoped for was the deluge of Gag Grouper looking for a spot in someone’s cooler on this trip. 33 of them found a home while at least 25 were sent back unharmed to grow up. At least 20 of the Gags were molly whoppers approaching 20 lbs. On the slightly smaller side, a few hogfish were brought in as well and at least a dozen black sea bass. It was a tight competition for the Jackpot Grouper that ended in a tie between Kevin from Georgia & Oulay from St. Pete. A spectacular day with AWESOME Fish Catching was had by all.
DON”T FORGET… the “Special Permit” program expires at midnight 12/31/2015 and trips are already filling up.
