The weather was not very cooperative this time around. Fishing was sluggish to start out with and the rough weather made it tough the first half.

Captain Mitch zig zagged through the Middle Grounds up to depths of 180 feet of water. The machine was lit up the whole time, but the fish were not biting. By night two, things finally  livened up.IMG_2164

“The last night made up for the slower bite the night before” commented one fisherman. The cooler quickly filled with their limit of American Red Snapper. The Gag bite was slow but the insane mango bite made up for it.

Since the Grouper that were caught were not entered in to the jackpot category, the cash prize rolled over to the Snapper Jackpot. There was a three way split with the cash. Jackson, Jake & Clark cleaned house with their whopper size winning fish! IMG_2166 - Copy
