8-11-2017 44 Hr Florida Middle Grounds

It was another steamy weekend of fishing on the Gulf of Mexico for Captains Mitch and James and a sold out group on the Gulfstar. The 1st night started off with an “excellent” bite and a nice pick of big Mangrove, Vermillion and Yellow Tail Snappers. The next day was all about “fishing through the Red Snapper” to bring in some Gag, Scamp and Red Grouper, Lane Snapper, Porgies and more b-liners and of course the 100+ ARS they had to throw back. The action really picked up on the last night with fiery hot Mango action, more nice size vermillion and dozens of off-limit species like Amberjack and Triggerfish.
