It is no secret that the last three Gulfstar offshore trips have had very less than favorable weather. The forecasts have been 15-20 knots and 3-5 feet seas. That is down right cranky but the Gag Grouper and all of the other fish have gotten the Memo…… Fall is here. The Gag Grouper bite at the middle grounds has been really darn good. The last two trips gave our anglers lots of Gag and Red Grouper action both day and night with whoppers over 25lbs. This is pretty typical for this time of year and this year the fall bite is right on target. I urge you to check out our picture gallery and see for yourself.

This great action has prompted us to change the timing of this weekend’s trip to allow us to have more grouper fishing time to cash in on this great action. This weekend’s trip departs at Midnight Friday and comes back to the dock around 8 pm on Sunday. This time shift will allow for more of the great grouper action. Here is the trip description as posted:

“Our last couple of trips have seen some hot Gag Grouper action so now it’s time to spend the better part of a trip targeting them and see what they’ve got! This trip will depart at midnight and we will steam up to the north grounds (70-120′) and fish wrecks, springs, ledges and potholes for the entire day. Then we will steam offshore to the Middle Grounds to night fish and enjoy the morning fishing. We will depart the Middle Grounds at noon to return home. We fish for Mangrove and Vermillion Snapper, Gag, Red and Scamp Grouper, Amberjack, King Mackerel, Red Porgies and Cobia.”

This trip has 6 spots available and is likely to become one of those trips of a lifetime if you are a Grouper fishermen. CLICK HERE TO BOOK this great trip and get in on this fantastic fall bite
