We could not have asked for better weather or seas, but the fishing seemed to be a carry over from last Saturdays 16 Hr. Again there was a plethora of Gag Grouper and Red Snapper because the “Season Closed” sign is burning brightly below the depths. We also had ridiculous numbers of Amberjack, but because the size limits have been changed, only one was of legal size. Of course there was of no shortage of Grunts and Black Sea Bass, some were even fighting size and seemed to be sacrificing themselves in the name of filling coolers. All in all, lots of catching action but light on the keeping action. Don’t forget, with every day they grow a little more and we get closer to being able to keep more fish!!!
