It was a very windy trip with choppy seas and with the outgoing tide screaming in the afternoon 10-12 oz. lead was needed in only 50 feet of water. There was a lot of action on this trip, however not very many keeper size fish. Many Gag grouper were caught that could have been kept last year at 22-23 1/2 inches, but they just didn’t measure up to this years size limit increase of 24 inches. Anglers got into a lot of keeper size but out of season Red Snapper that also had to be released.
