Captains Jerry and James reported beautiful clear skies greeted the Gulfstar as it headed out to the grounds. The 1st night saw a decent mango bite along with b-liners, Porgies and other miscellaneous fish. Sun-up brought the winds but it also brought a HOT Gag Grouper bite to keep everyone’s minds off of the breezy conditions. Along with the Gags there was a steady pick of Red Grouper, Lane and Yellowtail Snapper and forbidden Red Snapper and AJ’s throughout the day. The Mango and Vermilion bite really picked up for the 2nd night both in numbers and quality of fish. It was a bumpy but uneventful steam home.
