Thanks to a strong approaching cold front we thought we might have to cancel this trip, instead we moved departure up 14 hours to 10 pm Thursday night to avoid it and thankfully most of the scheduled passengers were able to attend. It proved to be a winning decision with the weather cooperating throughout the entire trip. Captains Mitch and James got our anglers fishing by 5am Friday morning finding a nice pick of Mango, Vermillion and Yellowtail Snapper. They spent the day in deep water where they had steady action wrangling in some nice sized Gag and Snowy Grouper, a half dozen Gray Tilefish, Porgy’s, a couple Barracuda, some Mutton Snapper and forbidden Triggerfish and Amberjack. The evening saw a constant bite of even more Mango’s and Yellowtail Snapper, with some Blackfin Tuna and Red Grouper. They finished up the trip on Saturday with some molly whopper Scamp Grouper, Bar Jacks and a few Lionfish.

Andre’s Gag Grouper and Nate’s Mutton Snapper were the Jackpot winners.
