Because Red Snapper was extended a few extra days, the Gulfstar was able to squeeze one more trip for the season. Some did better than others, as it usually goes (after all its called fishing, right?!) but overall this trip was decent for most anglers. Capt.’s Mitch and Mike spent the first night at the Elbow were anglers got on a good Mango pick and a decent amount of Vermillion and Yellowtail Snapper, and some Porgies. An African Pompano along with Smitty and Bob Selby’s two beautiful Mutton Snapper were a nice find! After the sun came up they ventured a little deeper and found a good amount of bigger Red Snapper, and  finished up their last night with quite a few more Mango, Vermilion, and Yellowtail Snapper, Porgies and the rest of the Red Snapper limit. The jackpot fish were Ken Johnson’s Gag Grouper and Raleigh Schwartz’ Mango Snapper.

Fish On!!

Trish.
